Description

Steel constructions for a Combined Cycle Gas Turbine (CCGT) power plant fueled with natural gas with an 877 MW capacity are located in the industrial area of Komotini. The power plant is scheduled to be commissioned for commercial operation early in 2024, and the total cost of the investment is €375 million.

The new unit and the substation will be developed on a plot of land with a total area of 101.5 acres, of which 45.4 acres will be occupied by the power generation facilities, 16,850 m2 substation unit, 1,660 m2 support buildings (control, warehouses, workshops, and guardhouse entrance), 240 m2 the liquid waste treatment facilities and 600 m2 the facilities of the natural gas pipeline entrance sewage treatment plant.
